Your financial data, handled with care.
Capira helps you understand your money, so we take the protection of your information seriously. Here is a plain-language explanation of how Capira is built and the choices we make to keep your data safe.
Bank connections through Plaid
When you connect an account, Capira uses Plaid to establish the link. Your bank login credentials are entered with Plaid — Capira never sees or stores your online banking username or password.
Encrypted in transit and at rest
Traffic between the Capira app and our servers is protected with HTTPS/TLS. Your data is stored on Google’s cloud infrastructure, where it is encrypted at rest by default.
Secure sign-in
Accounts are authenticated through Firebase Authentication, Google’s managed identity service. Your session is tied to your account, and features that read your finances require you to be signed in.
Payments stay with the stores
Subscriptions are purchased and billed through the App Store and Google Play, managed with RevenueCat. Capira never stores your card or payment details.
- We don’t sell your personal data. Your financial information is used to power your Capira experience, not to be sold.
- Read-only account access. Connected accounts are used to read balances and transactions so Capira can organize them — Capira does not move money.
- You control your data. You can disconnect an account or delete your Capira account and its data at any time.
- Account connection happens in the app. The website never connects to your bank; connecting accounts is done securely inside the Capira mobile app.
